When it comes to teaching programming, I’m more concerned about the philosophy and effectiveness of teaching. This focus becomes paramount especially when it comes to teaching kids programming. Professionally, I am focused on balancing fun and understanding of the materials.

Why Listen to Me

I have extensive experience tutoring and teaching kids of ages 10-18 to code, being employed as coding tutor since October 2025 at The Coder School, Irvine.

I recognized very early on that my teaching was horrible and I’m still constantly finding new ways to engage and retain my students’ understanding.

Alongside my experience attending programming classes at University of California, Irvine, I have developed a principled approach for teaching the fundamentals of programming through languages such as Python, Lua (Roblox), and C++.
